A total of 7 teachers participated in the contest. They combined the characteristics of language subject with ideological and political elements, and deeply explored the ideological and political education elements contained in foreign language courses. Some teachers integrated Chinese traditional culture into foreign language teaching to build students' cultural confidence. Some teachers cultivate students' patriotic feelings from the perspective of national diplomatic strategy; In addition, teachers integrate socialist core values into teaching to help students form correct values and moral standards. The integration of ideological and political elements, such as patriotism, social responsibility and humanistic spirit, has achieved the same level of professional knowledge teaching and ideological and political education, and fully demonstrated the solid teaching foundation and good professional quality of our teachers. After a fierce competition, Pan Ying, a teacher from the Department for non-English majors, won the first place. She will represent the School in the Non-Political Courses Featuring Ideological and Political Content Competition of Zunyi Medical University. Zheng Hanyu from the Department of Translation and Research and Huang Baodan from the Department of Comprehensive English Teaching and Research won the second place. They will represent the School to participate in the Micro-Teaching Competition.
The Innovation Cup of English Courses Featuring Ideological and Political Content Contest provides a valuable opportunity for our teachers to exchange skills, learn from each other and learn from each other.
